How IOP Publishing is serving the quantum science community

报告摘要：As an international society-owned publisher IOP Publishing (IOPP) has a mission to serve physics and related multidisciplinary research communities through a range of established academic publishing resources and services.Building on the established international reputations of Reports on Progress in Physics and Quantum Science and Technology this talk will provide an overview of how IOPP's journal portfolio is evolving to serve the quantum science community, including some of our latest developments in relation to peer review and the support we provide to ensure integrity and trust in the process. The talk will also provide guidance on how to write a good research paper in line with the expectations of high impact international research journals.
报告人简介：Dr Tim Smith is Head of Portfolio Development at IOP Publishing. Since completing his PhD in condensed matter physics Tim now has nearly 25 years experience of working in the academic publishing sector and has managed diverse portfolios of journals extending across all areas of physics, materials science and environmental science. He has specific responsibility for leading the editorial development of IOP's extensive journals program across the physical sciences, incorporating a combination of scientific expertise, knowledge of the international research landscape and in depth experience of scholarly publishing activities extending to journal portfolio strategy development, new product launches, journal business models, the peer review process and the opportunities and challenges of AI within the scientific research process.
